Glorious People of Planet Earth and Hopes of Self Love

Yesterday I had quite a wonderful interaction with some strangers, and I wanted to share them with you internet! I met a lovely man at the library. His name is David and he is probably around 90. I have seen him before about a year ago, and he and I chatted a bit and he was so quirky, interesting, and had a lovely slightly British accent. He told me today that I restored his faith in humanity. What an honor and complement. I thanked him, got his email, and will contact him shortly. I also met a lovely women at the Thrift Store who was a teacher at a local high school and was wearing bright blue eyeliner and had great style. She and I talked a bit and she was so nice and complemented me profusely. Then one of the workers at the thrift store told her how I was a good kid. She remembered my past purchases of children books for the kids I babysit, and then said good things about me. I am so lucky to live in such a wonderful, loving, and fantastic community. I sometimes feel not so great ab

High Hopes and French Pop

I am in love. I am in love with French Pop music. Ah! It is so good and pure and wonderful. Although I only took 2 years of French, whenever I hear the gorgeous voices of wonderful artists like Louane, Stacy Kent, Zaz, or Ingrid St-Pierre my heart flutters and flits off to hope land where it drinks the nectar of fun and decides to visit again sometimes soon. Sometime life can feel very heavy and yucky like a pit of poo. But with French Pop music, the pit turns into a wonderful bath of lovely gooey chocolate. I am in a metaphor mood right now. I have learned that I tend to go up and down and up and down quite dramatically in my thoughts and feelings. French Pop stabilizes me at a calm place where everything slows down a bit and the smells and tastes are heightened and I remember that this too shall pass so I shall make the most of it, and wait until the storm leaves my head.

Vegan Stage Makeup/ A Midsummer Nights Dream

Sorry for my absence! It has been a while! I have been working my play that opens on the 24th of March. My school is putting on a Midsummer Nights Dream. Because of this opportunity I have been learning some fun dancing, listening to a lot of 20s music and putting on crazy awesome makeup. I did a little research on vegan stage makeup because I wanted to make sure my face was cruelty free and I found these great companies: Elegant Minerals Natural Earth And here is my makeup! First we put on a base white coat  Then my makeup artist put on blue around my eyes  I think I look like a member of kiss! Crazy Cobweb Until Next Time, Hannah
